ANMA was founded by Magdalene “Maggie” Konneh (DJ Maggie)—an award-winning Sierra Leonean-Australian journalist, human rights advocate, and broadcaster. Maggie’s incredible journey from an international sports reporter and asylum seeker to an acclaimed anti-FGM activist and community leader shapes the very soul of this platform. Because community voice matters, ANMA is built to ensure our stories are told accurately, respectfully, and powerfully.
